Service to Our Community
Jany and Greg feel strongly about building relationships with the people they serve, and they make it a priority to do so by getting involved and giving back. For many years, they have been active members and supporters of their church, Metro Life. Jany and Greg sponsor countless events to help families and youth groups reach their full potential. Also, Greg regularly speaks in churches across South Florida and offers educational programs to help business owners start or grow their companies.
I Have a Dream
The I Have a Dream Foundation recently appointed Jany to its board of directors. As an immigrant child who arrived in the United States not knowing the language, Jany experienced many challenges and emotional setbacks. It is her hope that her own experience will be valuable in helping the organization make a difference in the lives of many children.
Border of Hope Mission
Approximately 7,000 people live in two camps, including 500 children and pregnant women, who are stranded at the border and in dire need of basic human necessities. The Oasis Radio 1210 am "Mission Frontera de Ilusiones" volunteers sought our support and traveled to the site to provide much-needed assistance to the migrants. The essential items, including food, water, and basic medicine, were provided. "As a displaced immigrant myself, I would not hesitate to support the Oasis Radio 1210 am team financially and spiritually to bring such desperately needed relief."
Giving Back
When Greg and Jany are not advocating on behalf of car accident victims, they are at the forefront of Hispanic community matters. "We feel strongly about getting to really know our clients and our community here at The Ward Law Group, and we make it a priority to do so by getting involved and giving back to our community. It is a blessing to - be able to give back", Jany explains.
Backpack Drive
As families across South Florida plan to buy back-to-school essentials during the summer, thousands of struggling families cannot afford them. Every year, The Ward Law Group donates backpacks filled with school supplies to local South Florida families so that they can help their children prepare for school. Over the years, the firm has distributed thousands of backpacks and school supplies to South Florida students.
Turkey Drive
The Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway is an event we look forward to every year. During the holidays, we serve more than 1,500 meals to our community in addition to turkeys. We are honored to be able to share a wonderful family meal with the community that has supported us for so many years.
Beyond the Border
Their commitment to making a difference extends far beyond U.S. borders. For some Venezuelan children, garbage can scraps are the only source of food. After hearing their story, Jany and Greg were deeply touched and felt compelled to assist them. With the help of a charitable church organization they work with, many Venezuelan children were able to have a warm meal during the holidays.
