Mikael “Mike” Laguna is a pre-litigation attorney at the Ward Law Group, P.L. His practice is focused on pre-suit and litigation matters, including, but not limited to, examinations under oath, recorded statements, attending inspections, written discovery, depositions, hearings, evidentiary hearings, mediations, arbitrations, appraisals, trial preparation, and serving as a corporate representative for insurance carriers. And after practicing law for over a decade and representing both plaintiffs and defendants, Mr. Laguna realized where his true passions lie–representing the Davids against the Goliaths. He is a member of the Florida Bar.
Mr. Laguna has extensive experience representing insurance carriers and insureds in contested insurance claims, pre-suit litigation, and a wide array of other litigation matters. His career began in bankruptcy, probate, wills, guardianships, and real estate law, subsequently progressing to civil litigation and representing wronged homeowners in insurance claims.
Mr. Laguna earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Florida in 2008 and his Juris Doctor from Florida International University School of Law in 2011. He is a proud Cuban-American fluent in Spanish, serving as an invaluable legal resource for Spanish-speaking clients.
Outside the office, Mr. Laguna enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, boating, fishing, barbequing, and watching his favorite collegiate and professional football, basketball, and soccer teams.
