Mr. Lotto’s legal career began as an assistant state attorney in Broward County. In that role, he tried numerous misdemeanor and felony trials to verdict, gaining valuable trial, litigation, and courtroom experience. After leaving the state attorney’s office, Mr. Lotto worked for a law firm representing insurance companies in first-party property disputes, gaining civil litigation experience. This experience helped him realize that he wanted to prioritize people over corporations, leading him to pursue a position in a well-respected plaintiff’s firm. There he represented injured patients in medical and hospital negligence claims and clients in general negligence and wrongful death claims.
Hailing from New York, Mr. Lotto earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. He later relocated to South Florida, attending Nova Southeastern University's Shepard Broad College of Law, earning his Juris Doctor in 2013. He served as a senior staff member of the Nova Law Review and graduated in the top 10% of his class.
